OK update on my absence.
I’ve not actually gone anywhere, I’ve just got another tumblr for non-serious fandom blogging and such and I’ve been hanging out over there.
My plans for this tumblr were to clear it out and start fresh as my serious politics/feminism blog.
However, I was hoping to somehow move all of my old posts to a side blog or something because I definitely want to keep them for future reference. That seems, however, to be near-, if not totally, impossible.
So I’m pondering what to do atm. Any suggestions would be appreciated, of course, but I mainly wanted to give an update on why I wasn’t posting.

It’s no secret that you think the Once-ler is fabulous in general.
(But why are you following me on this blog and not the other one?? That one is better if you are going to complement my gifs :P)
HAPPY 2nd TUMBLR ANNIVERSARY TO ME.
Two years ago, I made this post, which makes sense to exactly three people on the planet. Luckily it serves to remind me why exactly I made a tumblr (since sometimes I forget), as I was trying out blogging platforms to find one for my friends and me to use to post humourous stuff that is also only funny to exactly three people in the world.
Luckily, I found myself another niche in the tumblr world.
I get my news and my politics from tumblr. I found a feminist identity on tumblr. I discovered issues in the world I didn’t know existed. Basically, I found something to be passionate about.
And recently I joined one of the most hated fandoms in the entire tumblr universe.

It’s been amazing seeing two different sides of the tumblr universe - the serious side where people try to fix the economy by blogging, and the seemingly light-hearted fandoms which actually have more vicious hate than the serious bloggers (logic???) - and trust me, I am not leaving anytime soon. tumblr has become my unofficial home.
I heart u, tumblah.

Here’s to two more years.
So my friend apparently just decided to delete my comment rather than try and explain her slut-shaming or tell me why I was wrong - or even just let it alone.
Good job. Now you’ve pissed me off twice as much.
Today was the first time I ever saw any slut-shaming on my Facebook newsfeed.
I see people posting about it on tumblr all the time but it’s never happened to me before.
I just told off the girl in question, and atm my sympathetic nervous system is freaking the fuck out. I firmly expect some friends of hers to jump on my back and attack me.
I’m gonna go play some video games to cool down uhhhgggg this makes me so mad ;-;
"When you speak up about any sense of unfairness or injustice, you’re told that you’re overreacting, you’re too angry, too silly—shut up already. It takes a tremendous amount of fortitude to be able to live in this world as a woman, let alone a woman who wants things to change.
And that’s what was so remarkable and emotional about the Beastie Boys’ feminist turnaround. Maybe your father says sexism doesn’t exist and your boyfriend disrespects you. Maybe you have to deal with assholes on the subway who rub up against you every day and laugh when you yell at them. But listening to this band that you love so much say that your pain is real, that the world is fucked up and that they are not going to participate in actions that hurt you anymore because they care about you—it was the overwhelming feeling of being made visible. They were sending a clear message to their female fans: this isn’t okay, we have your back, we’re sorry.
